GTA 6 Price, Editions and Platforms: What's Officially Confirmed
Rockstar has locked in the essentials for Grand Theft Auto VI: release date, platforms, price and editions. All of it is from the official pre-order announcement and Rockstar Support.
Release date
November 19, 2026. Pre-orders opened at midnight local time on June 25, 2026, and pre-loading starts on November 12.
Platforms
- PlayStation 5
- Xbox Series X|S
Those are the only platforms Rockstar has announced. A PC version hasn't been announced, and there's no version for PS4 or Xbox One.

Rockstar says the Ultimate Edition adds "an exclusive collection of premium vehicles, weapons, apparel, and action threaded across all aspects of Jason and Lucia's story."

Digital vs physical
Both editions are available digitally through the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Rockstar Games Store and global retailers. The physical version contains a download code and no disc, and Rockstar says it will be available from November 12 so buyers can pre-load.
What is GTA VI about?
From Rockstar's official description: it's set in Vice City, USA, and follows Jason and Lucia. When "an easy score goes wrong", they end up in the middle of a conspiracy stretching across the state of Leonida.
