ARC Raiders Update 2.1 Live: PvE Toggle Beta Starts, Carrion Set and Big Fixes
It's live. Store Update 2.1.0, posted today by Embark Studios, is rolling out right now and officially starts the PvE matchmaking toggle beta in ARC Raiders. The Carrion Set is in the store, and the patch ships a long list of fixes for the Grappling Hook, Pendola Pass, Frigate, Reward Pass and more.
We covered the day-before rules brief yesterday. This is the go-live post: the build is out, and you can queue PvE today.
PvE toggle beta is on
Embark writes that Update 2.1 "marks the start of the PvE toggle Beta Test" and asks Raiders to jump in and share feedback. Per the October 12 brief, the window runs October 13 at 11:00 CEST through October 20 at 11:00 CEST (5:00 AM ET both days).
Quick refresh of the PvE rules:
- Zero player-to-player damage; stun and fire throwables don't hit other Raiders
- Lower overall loot value on PvE servers
- Mixed solo/duo/trio sessions
- No PvE option for Night Raid, Locked Gate, Hidden Bunker, Frigate or Redirection
- Eight-second grace period after being downed before ARC can re-acquire you
When the week ends, the toggle comes off. Embark says player feedback plus in-game data will decide whether it becomes permanent.
Carrion Set and Zenith fix
Alongside the mode test, the official notes confirm the Carrion Set is available in the store. Players who finished their fifth Expedition also get the missing Zenith Outfit toggles that were previously withheld.
Equipped weapon stencils now show rarity in the weapon tooltip, and the customization screen adds a new indicator so freshly acquired stencils are easier to spot.
Grappling Hook and Frigate changes
The Grappling Hook gets a meaningful pass. Auto-vault is more reliable on ledges and roofs (especially on Pendola Pass), the rope wraps around geometry in flight, and several detach and durability bugs are fixed — including hooks that broke instead of becoming "broken" at 0 durability, and lines that snapped on the Ballistic Gondola.
On the ARC side, Frigate hatches now inflict burning damage over time when they open. Frigate cargo collision and drop knockouts are smoothed, and Frigate round spawns are adjusted so you don't start too far from the action.
Pendola Pass, Reward Pass and skills
Pendola Pass gets collision, lighting and extraction fixes — including a nasty bug where players could be eliminated while extracting inside the Gondola. Night lighting is darker with less visibility. Gondola markers on the compass and map now show out to 175 meters (up from 120).
The Reward Pass no longer mis-counts milestones from previous rounds on the end-of-round screen, and several UI polish items land with it. Broad Shoulders, Field Repair, Fight or Flight and Sprinting on Fumes all receive skill fixes; stamina consumables can no longer bypass the Sprinting on Fumes penalty. Memory use is reduced on Spaceport, Buried City and Dam Battlegrounds, with a callout for Xbox Series S.
MP1st notes console players will see this as update 1.000.064.
