ARC Raiders Reward Pass Explained: Free vs Premium in Frozen Trail

The Frozen Trail update on October 8, 2026 brings a new progression system to ARC Raiders: the Reward Pass. It replaces Raider Decks, and it's how you'll unlock the update's new outfits, cosmetics, gadgets and weapons. Everything below comes from Embark's official Reward Pass explainer.

What is a Reward Pass?

Embark calls Reward Passes "a natural evolution of Raider Decks". You complete Feats to unlock rewards: outfits, cosmetic items, gadgets, weapons, items and Raider Tokens.

Embark says it changed the system because players were saving up so much Cred that they could finish a new Raider Deck right away, which made the rewards feel "much less… rewarding". Each Reward Pass is tied to the update it launches with.

Two passes at launch

Frozen Trail launches with two Reward Passes:

  1. Frozen Trail Reward Pass: 60 levels, with a Free track and a Premium track.
  2. Legacy Reward Pass: a free pass that combines everything from the old Raider Decks.

Free track: what you get

  • All the new base outfits
  • New cosmetic items, weapons, gadgets and items
  • Up to 200 Raider Tokens

The First Look post adds that the free rewards include five new outfits, new gameplay items and 20 cosmetic items (Scrappy outfits, furniture, charms, attachments and emotes).

Premium track: what you get

  • Premium toggles, modifications and colorways for the new outfits
  • Exclusive legendary weapon stencils and hairstyles
  • Up to 1,150 Raider Tokens

Embark highlights two things here. First, the Premium track doesn't contain gameplay items like weapons or gadgets; those stay on the Free track. Second, the Premium Pass costs 1,150 Raider Tokens, so if you complete it, you earn back what you paid.

What happens to my Raider Decks?

Nothing is lost. The Legacy Reward Pass merges all cosmetic rewards and Raider Tokens from Raider Decks into one free pass. Anything you already unlocked stays unlocked, and you can keep progressing to earn the rewards you missed.

Collector Set DLC and the Premium Pass

The paid Collector Set DLC also grants the Frozen Trail Premium Reward Pass. On top of that, it includes the Renzo cosmetic set, the Dragon's Breath Weapon Stencil, the Bob hair style, 2,400 Raider Tokens and an exclusive Retro Sofa for your Outpost. It's also the only way to get the Banjo blueprint.
